Machine Operator Modules

The machine operator user modules are a constituent part of the ARDAS software package developed to enable complex measurement tasks within the manufacturing process to be carried out by users without detailed knowledge.

The measurement and evaluation procedures are defined in the measurement plan and it is only possible to carry out those steps which are required in the context of the measurement procedure. Users are guided through the process by the system at all times.

The machine operator user module accesses exactly the same data pool as the ARDAS user interface. As a result it does not matter which interface is used to perform or evaluate a measurement.

As for all the modules of the ARDAS software, individual access rights for the machine operator user module are managed with the aid of the User Manager to avoid unintentional changes being made.

The principle functions of the machine operator user module are listed below.

• Automatic measurement and evaluation procedures after selection of test specimen specifications
• Only a logical succession of user steps is possible
• Operator errors are almost completely eliminated
